Managing internal to-dos that aren’t tied to a person inside the CRM was impossible; however, we understand that it's necessary to have a smoothly running business. So, with this update, you can use workflows to automate those tasks thanks to the removal of the “must have a contact” blocker. Let’s check it out!
⭐️How To Add Tasks Without Contacts in Workflows?
Navigate to the Workflows tab inside the automation section and create or edit a workflow.
Select a non-contact trigger—for example, ClickUp New Task or Notion New Database Item.
Add an action for “Add Task.”
Set assignee, due date, and priority.
⭐️Why Is This Feature Beneficial To Your Company?
Flexible Task Management: When the step runs, it will create a standalone task if no contact is present at runtime or attach the task to the contact as usual if one exists.
Reduce Manual Labor: This feature allows you to get rid of post-its and multiple external reminders for tasks, making the reminder process easier for everyone.
Increased Productivity: Workflows help you ensure management saves time when assigning tasks, and team members who need to complete them are notified.
Once you’ve added any other needed actions, simply save and publish your workflow, and you’re done. This will create tasks that aren’t attached to a contact, allowing you to manage internal tasks more effectively. We hope you enjoy it!
