Voice Agents help you manage customer calls even with a smaller team. However, for some, talking with an AI voice may feel uncomfortable. So, we’ve added a new configuration to help you make your agents more approachable. Let’s check it out!

⭐️Why Is This Feature Beneficial To Your Company?

  • Proactive Engagement: The re-engagement prompts will keep callers from going silent, helping you reduce dead air and steer conversation back on track.

  • Natural Approach: Agents sound natural when prompting customers, using programmed pauses to make the conversation feel organic and ending the call automatically if the user remains silent longer than 15 seconds after the reminder.

  • Improved Customer Experience: Keep the conversation going without running into accidental interruptions or unresponsiveness, boosting success rates with a positive customer experience.

⭐️How To Set An Idle Reminder Timer for Voice AI Agents?

  1. First, in the “Voice AI Agents” section of your account settings, create or edit an AI Agent.

  2. Then, in the Agent Details, open the Advanced Settings by clicking the gear icon.

  3. In there, enable “Idle Time and Reminder” then enter the total seconds. It must be between 1 and 20 seconds; the default is 8 seconds.

  4. Click Confirm to save your settings, and you’re done!

In practice, the Voice AI Agent will give customers time to think and phrases to re-engage them in the conversation if they are taking too long, ending calls if the customer doesn’t continue the conversation for more than 15 seconds after being reminded of the ongoing chat.
