URL Redirects Revamp

Improved Feature: URL Redirects Revamp

January 26, 20261 min read

URL Redirects are an awesome way to ensure traffic lands where it’s needed. However, this process could feel complicated. So, we’ve revamped the interface to make it easier to set up and manage 301 redirects. Additionally, we’ve introduced support for full domain-level redirects to external domains not connected to your account. Let's check how it works!

⭐️How Will These Changes Affect You?:

  • Refreshed UI: Select a source domain and choose to redirect either a Specific Path or the Entire Domain using a clean, guided pop-up interface.

    a
  • Validation & Error Handling: Inline validations catch invalid URLs, duplicate redirects, and unsupported formats in real-time.

    b
  • Smart Target Options: For Entire Domain redirects, choose from existing connected domains or select Custom Domain to redirect to an external domain not previously connected.

⭐️How To Create A URL Redirect?

The process to create a URL redirect has changed slightly. Let’s go over how to do it!

  1. Head to the URL Redirects tab in the Domains & URL Redirects section of your Settings, and click Add Redirect.

    1
  2. Select the domain you want to redirect from the dropdown, then set whether you'd like to redirect a specific path or the entire domain.

    2
  3. Select the type of redirect and set your redirection.

    3
  4. Lastly, click “Add Redirect” to set your URL redirect.

This update will give you much-needed flexibility, while the improved flow, live previews, and smart defaults reduce errors and confusion, and the streamlined setup saves time. We hope you enjoy it!
